My family got together to celebrate the February birthdays (four of them!) and we had a good time with it. We shared some Chinese food at Sea Empress in Gardena, but the cake was Paradise from King’s Hawaiian.
A YEAR AGO TODAY: My brother-in-law stopped by today, but I was out of the room at therapy. He dropped off an MP3 player for Pastor Nathan to load with sermons and songs. My mother came by in the afternoon, but I was out on a field trip to the Long Beach Museum of Art, with the staff from Recreation Therapy. I tried to get out of going by suggesting that I may be asleep at the departure time, but the therapist just shrugged and said that it makes no difference to her since it’s easier to load me in the van if I’m not conscious. So I decided to go and I had a good time.
