I received an email from Karen (see pic), a good friend who lives in the Bay Area. I sent her a belated birthday wish and she responded with an update on her life. Things are going well for her and she just returned from a trip to the Na Pali coastline on Kaua'i. Now there's a place that's high on my list of places to visit before I die. Maybe I'll make it out there next year ...She is also still active with the Nisei Ski Club, which is going to Vail for a week in 2008. I'd love to go, but too much is uncertain in my life right now. I hope that I can make it on one of NSC's great weekend trips this winter, though. I love to ski the north shore of Tahoe.
