A word about my blog .....

I'm using this blog to keep notes on my life and experiences, plus to keep track of my own recovery from a stroke (December 2006).

For those of you who were not aware, my brother, John, died on February 10, 2010. His remains were cremated and interred at Green Hills Memorial Park.

1009 wardrobe

I was watching a sci-fi television show and was listening to the commentary. It featured the voices of two directors. One had shot the episode; the other was his friend, who had shot a previous episode.

One scene was in a room and featured two actors, one male and one female. Both were young and very attractive. The director of the episode told the other director that he wasn’t able to cover the back wall.

Sure enough, when you ignore the dialog and focus on the back wall, you can see that it was part of another set. The other director asked why.

The first director mentioned that it was too costly and covering the wall would have put him way over budget. The second director asked him how he handled it.

The first director replied, “Misdirection.”

The second director said, “Misdirection? How?”

The first director said, “I told wardrobe to make the actors wear one size smaller. THAT, I could afford.”

When I saw the scene, I wasn’t thinking that I’d seen that wall someplace else. I was thinking that the female’s outfit was so snug I could hardly breathe.
