A word about my blog .....

I'm using this blog to keep notes on my life and experiences, plus to keep track of my own recovery from a stroke (December 2006).

For those of you who were not aware, my brother, John, died on February 10, 2010. His remains were cremated and interred at Green Hills Memorial Park.

0619 get smarter

On Monday’s post, Marty made a comment that 2003 was too long ago. This post is a response to that.

Last year, “Get Smart” hit the screens with Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway, Dwayne Johnson, and Alan Arkin. It was really funny, but the DVD gave me more insights into the making of the movie.

You see, in order to maintain their PG-13 rating, some of Carell’s lines had to be toned down. The DVD has a version that shows ALL of the ad-libs and deleted scenes.

When I saw the agent in the tree, he looked and sounded familiar. In the DVD version, I recognized him as Bill Murray. Go figure.
