Ahh. The loco moco. My favorite food. Put two mounds of white rice in a bowl and top them with two hamburger patties. Fry up two eggs (leave the yolks intact) and put them on the meat, then smother the whole stack with brown gravy. Mmmm.But now that I think about it, the loco moco may have contributed to the stroke. I tried making a "healthy" version at home, once. It had brown rice, egg substitute, low-fat low-sodium gravy, and two veggie patties.
The result? Yuck!! I never drove so fast to Gardena Bowl for the real thing! I had to order an extra spam musubi just to get the low-fat gravy aftertaste out of my mouth.
