Ching and I went out for her birthday (see 10/01 blog). She works in Santa Monica and had to drive to my house during rush hour, so we got started late. I originally thought about heading down to The Pike, but we opted instead for Olive Garden in Cerritos, with a brief stop at a scrapbooking store (just like old times). The wait at Olive Garden was 20-25 minutes, so we passed the time by catching up. She's still dating the same faceless guy (Tony) since before my stroke, but I can tell that this relationship is about to go the same way as the previous three, although she has managed to realize it in less than the 3-5 years the other ones took.
Dinner was good. She had her usual angelhair pasta with marinara sauce and I had the seafood alfredo. That, plus the garden salad and breadsticks, and we were stuffed to capacity. No room for dessert this time, although the tiramisu and gelato looked very good.
